Ho Ho HomeBrewFest 2016!
– 7:30pm on Saturday 17th December 2016!
Join us at Ho Ho
HomeBrewFest for live music, a silent disco, and UNLIMITED locally-sourced rosette-winning
HomeBrew!
The sixth edition of everyone’s favourite homebrew event arrives with a festive theme and more brewers than ever! Tickets are just £20 for a whole night out if you buy them in advance – but be careful, as they go up to £24 a week before the event, so booking early is recommended! As in previous years, this website is the only place where you can buy a ticket!
More details below, but why not come and join Santa for a drink!
More details about the event:
LIVE MUSIC
We hope to have
three or four local bands performing to help the evening go with a bit of a
swing – we have an eclectic mix of bands secured so far – including two which
are making their HomeBrewFest debut! The
acts all get paid to appear at Ho Ho HomeBrewFest, and have been working on
their repertoire of Christmas songs!
SILENT DISCO
Later on in the
night, we’ll turn on the silent disco, with a choice of three different
soundtracks keeps the dance floor grooving.
Last year this was a real high-light of the night! (We will be charged £15 for any headsets we
lose or break, so please look after them!)
HOMEBREW
We have been brewing
for five years now, so some of the homebrew is genuinely delicious, and it
always proves to be more alcoholic than you think. There will be a mix of
lagers, beers, ciders, and we have even seen some wines and spirits over the
years.
As well as celebrating our homebrew on the night, the brews are
all judged on a number of categories, with prizes to be won.
If you haven’t brewed before, it is very easy, and we’d love to taste your creations. All brewers get paid money to cover their expenses, so you have nothing to lose…
FOOD
There will be some snacks provided, but
hot food was always a bit of a b-ache to organise, so we'll see how things
roll, etc.
TIDYING UP
PLEASE come and help
us tidy up the venue from 10am on Sunday 18th December! :)
MONEY
FYI - Any money we
make tends to get blown on accessories, glasses and other such nonsense – there
is, regrettably, no one making a fast buck from running the HomeBrewFest. Yet.
